Good Health, Good Energy

Stress Relief

Vegetable eating can be stressful!  As Cindy says, the daily recommendations end up causing a lot of tension around eating right if you don’t know what to do with veggies.  Here’s the good news:  After just three vegetable cooking classes, Cindy was exuberant:  “I feel confident now, like I know how to mix and use ingredients.  That takes a lot of the tension out cooking for me.”

A healthy weight goes hand in hand with good health.  That’s why Debbie eats vegetables, but mostly cauliflower and broccoli and mostly fixed the same way over and over, which isn’t much fun.  VAM’s recipe variety and cooking encouragement are helping expand her vegetable repertoire.  She likes that, because she knows each vegetable contains different nutrients and that eating just a couple is cutting her short,  What’s more, eating more (and more different) vegetables will help her lose the extra 10 pounds she's been carrying around!

Healthy Weight

Deliciousness

Sometimes, we focus so much on health and weight and nutrition that we forget the most important thing of all:  Great-taste.  Done right, vegetables taste so good that you want to eat them.  VAM shows how to buy, store, prep and cook right, so you can begin savoring the flavor.

Good health and energy are the #1 reasons people want to eat more vegetables. Take Ray.  He’s looking at overall lifestyle improvement and knows that eating more vegetables plays a big part.  As he says,

We probably don’t need another study revealing yet one more miraculous effect of eating vegetables.  We just need to know how to do it, easily.  That’s what VAM is all about.

Does your vegetable life look anything like Jillian’s:  lots of good intention but the vegetables just aren't happening? The Vegetable a Month Club makes vegetable eating easy enough, fast enough, tasty enough and interesting enough to survive a show down with any Super Bowl leftovers.

“I know I should be eating more vegetables, and I want to, but here's the deal:  I'm sitting in my home office.  I feel hungry.  So I go to the kitchen and look in the frig.  There are some vegetables in the bottom drawer but it's so much work to steam a bunch of broccoli or zucchini or whatever.  Meanwhile, the leftovers from our Super Bowl party look really good and don't take any time. So I grab some fried chicken and pasta salad and call it good.”

Simple  Straightforward organization makes it easy to find the information you want and need.

Convenient  Everything you need for a wonderful vegetable life is sorted, sifted and grouped together in one handy place; don’t waste your time searching all sorts of different sites or flipping through magazines and cookbooks.

Supportive  Weekly emails tantalize your taste buds and serve as reminders to take advantage of  all the great information on the VAM membership site.

4 Big Benefits

You know you’re on the right track when so many good things line up, which happens when you join the Vegetable-a-Month Club:

Remember how Mom always said, "Get yourself a good guy (or gal.)  Don't get tricked by the the ones with the good looks, the fast talk or the fancy cars."   Mom also told us to eat our vegetables.

Of course Mom was as right about vegetables as she was about girlfriends and boyfriends, but we ignored her .  We went out with and got dumped by the flashy guy or gal.

Likewise, whenever we opened the frig we didn’t even look at the good-for-your-heart veggies sitting virtuously in the bottom drawer.  Oh no, we headed straight for  the good lookers (the chocolate raspberry cheesecake), the fast talkers (the leftover 3-kinds-of-meat pizza), the charmers (the creamy mac ’n cheese) and the ones who with the fancy car (the stuffed tater skins).  Now, five, seven or ten years down the road, we see those relationships are going nowhere–besides a bigger waistline.

Meanwhile, those dorky vegetables are showing up everywhere.  They even made their way into a major Wall Street Journal article: “More Reasons to Eat Your Veggies, Government Revamps Effort to Boost Consumption of Produce as Understanding of Benefits Grows.”  In fact, guess how many illnesses and chronic diseases have vegetable-eating as a major preventative tool? Over 20!

So if you're struggling to feel good, if you’re feeling overweight, or you’re d tired of having no energy, how about giving vegetables a chance?  Just like Mom said!
